£22,000-£25,000 per annum - 30 hours per week plus overtime

About the Role:

Wight Home Care are looking for an individual to deliver Induction training, mandatory training, and non-specialist training that motivates and inspires learners to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills. To plan and deliver effective learning activities for diverse groups in a safe and inclusive environment. Providing high quality, engaging and informative training sessions as well as communicate new starter expectations and instructions as part of the induction curriculum. To assist in the development of quality action plans and ensure delivery of appropriate training for all levels of staff throughout the organisation to achieve a reduction in incidents. Promoting a variety of learning approaches to suit the needs of the learners and the organisation and support those learners who may have specific needs and work creatively to overcome any barriers to learning. Demonstrate the required level of knowledge and underpinning values to competently deliver all elements of the curriculum. It is essential within this role to have access to a vehicle and a full driving license.

The main skills and experience for this role:

  • Experienced in working in a support or care role in healthcare, social care or education.

  • Hold or be willing to complete an accredited training qualification e.g., Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) or equivalent.

  • Current emergency First Aid at Work (which includes immediate life support) or be willing to achieve within a specific timescale.

  • Up to date train the trainer qualifications for Moving and Handling of People or be willing to achieve within a specified timescale.

  • Capacity to work unsupervised and co-operatively with others.

  • Able to maintain confidentiality and deal with situations in a sensitive manner.

  • Be positive, resilient and dynamic with excellent training delivery and presentation skills

  • ​Applicants must be willing to undertake on call duties, as part of an agreed pre-planned rota in order to provide an effective out of hours service.
